"For unknown reasons"?! How about the fact that no matter how humane it may be, you're still keeping a 700lb. wild animal in an unnatural environment and forcing it to act unnaturally. It bugs me when people act shocked when wild animals act like wild animals. They don't have the power to reason like humans do, and instinct is all they have. The more stressed an animal gets, the more likely it is that instinct is going to take over and then bad things happen.
