Actually, it was her name growing up. Barbara Broccoli is the daughter of the late Albert "Cubby" Brocolli. Her father turned over Eon Productions to Barbara and her father back in 1990, and Goldeneye was her first.

She used to accompany her father on the location shoots, so I guess having the name Broccoli had its compensations. ;-)
