RE-introduced, maybe - but Owen is, unfortunately, pretty screwed up and has been for a while ...

i think what happened here is that everyone was initially shocked into silence by the suicide attempt, and it created an information vacuum, which courtney somehow brilliant recognized as the perfect opportunity to do some score-settling with coogan. since her explanation was the first and only thing that came along, it has now cemented itself in everyone's mind, and coogan is suffering for it.
