I think Diamond Dave is the last of the truly great front men of rock, and I love how committed he is to the rock star lifestyle, even as he explores new passions in life, such as the EMT thing. I think that's awesome- wouldn't having David Lee Roth as your EMT give you the will to survive right then and there? But Dave is as Dave is. That's why I don't understand why Eddie is picking this moment to go into rehab. @IKnowThings: This is the only tour I've been excited about in quite a long time. I would rather see Van Halen with Slash on guitar than without DLR. I freaking love Dave: one of the finest entertainers of all time, and a pretty fine human being besides. Sammy might be getting the checks; I like that Dave's interested enough in his life that he's become so many other things, including an EMT. His biggest fault is going on too long about how he's been scapegoated by the Van Halens...even though it appears to be true.

I better leave this alone--David Lee Roth is one of the few subjects that renders me totally fanstruck and thusly devoid of knowing when to stop...posting...about...Dave...

]]> <![CDATA[Short Ends: Eddie Off To Rehab]]> I'm not really surprised that Eddie needs rehab, but I am surprised he is actually going. Why now? Talk about your career alcoholic. Saving his marriage wasn't the catalyst, and neither was getting cancer. Is he saying that he wants to clean up so that he can go on the road with David Lee Roth? Seems like an exercise in futility.

Now I love her because she seems to piss off everybody I despise.
