i also agree with you about michael sheen. how freaky was it that he looked just like him as well.....i lived in london that year...i was pretty shocked at how accurate the film was.

Yeah, Ryan Gosling was robbed, but I still think he has a shot at an Oscar nomination since Leo's taking up 2 slots in the dramatic category and none of the comedy nominees will make Oscar's final cut. Also missing from the list: Michael Sheen for Best Supporting Actor for "The Queen".... he was every bit as brilliant as Helen Mirren. In fact, that film would have fallen apart without a quality actor playing Tony Blair. The Globes filled up this category with "stars" (they LOVE to do that), but I think the Academy will remember Sheen.

I have mixed feelings about Ben Affleck. I was extremely upset when I heard that he had been cast as George Reeves in "Hollywoodland." I idolized George Reeves as a child and couldn't imagine that Ben Affleck could do this role any justice.

I have to give him grudging credit, though. Ben's recent string of flops gives him the experience to play a man whose career deteriorates into a joke, and there doesn't seem to be anything he can do about it.

So maybe Mark's merciless ribbing will inspire Ben to even greater achievements. Or maybe not.
