Getting rid of me is like trying to fire Kramer. I don't really have an account here.

Sweet! I look forward to it.
Really, though, Hulk was much better than I remembered it. So thank you for helping instigate my rewatching of it.
Now I feel like I should check out the new Punisher and, gulp, Ghost Rider for completeness' sake.

Amazing, thank you. I love the part where he asks about his stance on church burning and he's like, 'Duh, pro. Burn that shit.'

Didn't want to keep the side conversation going on the Tracey Fraction post...Anyway, Ed Koch is a classic! He can be such a loon. His review of Super Bad sticks out...

I just saw what your Power Rangers comment yesterday was referring to. Now I feel silly.

"Max Barry, Craig Clevenger, Douglas Coupland, Mark Danielewski."
Barry and Clevenger are quick reads - I was able to finish all of their books in a few days. Coupland takes a bit longer, and Danielewski is very time consuming.
I'd start with Clevenger. Both of his books are awesome, but I'd read The Contortionist's Handbook first and then Dermaphoria.
For Barry, I'd go with either Jennifer Government or Syrup and then Company.
Coupland has a lot of books and I've only read a couple (actually just started one this morning). I would read Jpod by him...
Danielewski's books are both great, but require a lot of time and concentration because they are utterly mind-fucking. House of Leaves is the better and more challenging of the two, but Only Revolutions is great as well. Reading House of Leaves is a true accomplishment.

I just finished a book by Arthur Nersesian called The Fuckup, which I loved. Takes place in NYC in the 80s when it was a shithole...it's like the antithesis of American psycho. 80s NYC through a fuckup's perspective instead of a yuppie's.
Beyond that, here are some of my favorite authors, some of which I'm sure you know...let me know which ones you're not familiar with and I'll suggest individual books.
Chuck Palahniuk, Irvine Welsh, Alex Garland, Bret Easton Ellis, Max Barry, Craig Clevenger, Douglas Coupland, Cormac McCarthy, Mark Danielewski.
..and a couple of authors who've only written one book, but whose one book I love: Steven Hall, Monica Drake,
