They are shooting a West Wing motorcade scene out on Alameda in front of my window today... So a guy going the other direction in a Mustang honks his horn and flips off the crew as they are going by... One of the real Burbank cops peels off and chases him down. Now there are 4 cop cars and about 10 cops going through his car while he is handcuffed sitting on the ground over by Chadney's parking lot.. Fun outside my window at someone else's expense... It doesn't get any better than this.
How can you not love a place where flipping the bird to the fake president's motorcade can result in real trouble? Of course, we all live together in this wonderful land of make believe and must entertain the possibility this is staged for the show. So if you happen to be looking out your window and think you see the guy getting roughed up, don't worry, those are probably just prop billy clubs made of rubber bouncing harmlessly off his kneecaps.

I was waiting at a light in Burbank today and a motorcycle cop stopped in the middle of the intersection and blocked traffic when the light turned green. I expected something important - instead I got a limousine on a trailer accompanied by several motorcycle cops and police cars. Ridiculous. More security than the governator.
Couldn't have been Sorkin. He was in a Mustang, not floating through the air.
Sorry, I don't find this funny. The cops in Burbank are outright racist fascists. My boyfriend's car was stolen in Burbank, and the fascist Neanderthal Burbank cop handcuffed *him* for not calling him sir. Burbank cops are steroid-crazed Nazis. I've heard rumors that the Pellicano investigation is going to hit the Burbank PD hard in April. I couldn't be happier to see some of those tin-horn thugs get their come-uppance. The old LAPD joke is: when you flunk out of the Police Academy, you can get a job in Burbank.
