i'll admit to watching the random season of 'the bachelor.' it's so awful at times i cannot turn away. in real life this guy would choose no one, but alas... it's fake drama.

is there any doubt he made the wrong choice and the two will be separated in a few months -- or as soon as the contract expires? she's like a child! yes, she's cute, but c'mon! her whole time on the show was like prepping a demo reel.

favorite part: the insert shot of the ring when he gets down on one knee to propose. i tip my hat to the editors...

:::SMACKING SELF UPSIDE THE HEAD:::

I cringe to admit this, as I seriously wanted to hate them both, and did during the first few weeks of the show - but towards the end (somewhere after he caught a glimpse of his beloved Monkey in the form of his future mother-in-law, and THAT didn't scare him off) I started to root for them.

Yeah, Shayne's emoting is a little over-the-top, but seriously, I've known some people involved in the thee-aaah-tah, and these actor-types never seem to have a sense of self. They don't know who they are most of the time. So, I ended up liking her - she seemed pretty down to earth when she was talking about being from a broken home and not wanting to repeat her parents mistakes, admitting that each of her parents had "been married several times since divorcing." I really think she wants the happy ending, and Oh silly me! I think she would be willing to give up the life of a thespian, in exchange for the fairy tale.

Okay, so cynical, cranky me wants to see these two crazy kids have a happy ending. There. Done. I've said it, and it's out there for the internets for all to see ... LOLz
