Lindsay Lohan may be headed to the slammer yet again, but this time her crime has nothing to do with cokepants, crashed cars or "adequite" Blackberry manifestos. A Columbia student named Masha Markova has come forward accusing the stunt castette of stealing her $11,000 mink coat during a private party back in January. Before automatically assuming the co-ed is just another crazy kid trying to get their name in the papers, consider her story, as told to the NY Post:
At one point, she was seated next to Lohan, and recalled putting the mink in a common bin with other jackets...It was gone when she prepared to leave after an hour...Two weeks later, Markova flipped through OK! and [saw a picture taken that night] of Lohan wearing the very same fur coat.Still unconvinced? As always, the proof is in the pictures, shown after the jump.
At left we see Lindsay heading into the bar where the alleged theft took place on January 26th, wearing a black coat we find entirely adequite adequate. And the photo on the right was taken the next day, as Lindsay was leaving a lunch date downtown. We're not personally fans of fur and couldn't distinguish between mink or rabbit or whatever, but Masha sounds like the kind of girl who would know her $11K coat when she sees it. And though Lindsay's been growing on us ever since those nudie pics and TMZ cameos, the possibility that Lindsay dashed off with someone else's pricey coat sounds about right. Still, it's a step up from passing out at gas stations and rolling like a madwoman in her bra, right?

I am totally with you on Karmic retribution and the fact that Blohan probably lifted the coat. But if she hadn't taken it someone else would have and traded it 2 hours later for some blow and an us weekly. Shes just damn lucky she has photographic evidence.
On the plus side, the coat matches her trim.
In one week, this coat will be wrapped around the shoulders of one of Hollywood's finer coke dealers.

How can we forget this "prior" on Winohan's record?
Obviously SOMEBODY went to the cops and were told they couldn't do anything about it so now it's come to this - almost five months later.

Why does Lindsay Lohan look so much older than her own mother, Dina. Or is that just her research. What happened to that film she was gonna do with Shirley McClaine?
Wearing fur and eating meat are both ethically questionable habits of ours, but I think most agree that wearing fur is on a different level. Fur is an exorbitantly priced measure of status, and really easy to avoid. Animals are often skinned alive for their fur, and typically the animals aren't consumed for nourishment (rabbits, maybe). I hate it when people resign themselves to all-or-nothing takes on ethical standards - we humans, we're more complex than that, and avoiding something is better than nothing!
...I am sure the coat was LiLo's. 'Made of roadkill - killed them herself... you know what kind of driver she is. It seems sad until you consider that she used to hit people.
@jesshloly: Ethically questionable habits aside, it would also be sort of funny to see Lindsay steal a steak off of someone's plate and then be photographed with it.

Article says her immigration lawyer (whaaa?) called Lindsay's lawyer and the coat was returned. My favorite part of the article:
"Reeking of cigarettes and booze with a slight tear in the lining, the fur coat was no worse for wear after a dry cleaning and quick patch-up."

Comment on Warning: Do Not Leave Your Fur Coat In The Same Room As Lindsay Lohan I think this is a Hoax... As you can clearly see, when Lohan is supposedly going into the Club she is not wearing calve-high boots or black leggings and when she coming out she is not carrying a purse.
