After posting our positively gorgeous presentation of the most horrific sex scenes to ever grace the big screen, we're delighted to learn of two new additions to the list. At a recent screening for Then She Found Me, starring Matthew Broderick, Colin Firth, and Helen Hunt (where has she been hiding by the way?), ex-couple Helen and Matthew gleefully dished to the NY Daily News on just what to expect during two reportedly not-so-steamy sex romps featured in the film. As the reporter informs us:
"Congratulations, Helen Hunt and Matthew Broderick! You guys have officially filmed two of the most awkward sex scenes in cinema history."So who got it on with who, and what could possibly prompt such a mean-spirited diss from the tab?
As the trailer reveals, Helen gets to make out with both Firth and Broderick, sometimes in apartments, sometimes in the back of cabs, and sometimes just on plain ol' beds. While we don't get the full picture of what exactly is so awkward about what happens post-make outs, and as much as we adore Broderick if only because of Bueller, he's stiff as a board. Though, stiffness may not be the worst quality when it comes to filming sex scenes, no?
Anyway, here's the trailer of what looks to be a shitshow of a movie, one that we'll NEVER see.

Oh to be back in the days of Project X. Playtime?
Molly and the Royal We.
That's the new name for my fake garage band. Actually I kind of missed Helen Hunt and her forever confused facial expression. Glad that she made her own film.
ugh
did you know helen hunt has an oscar? helen hunt!! oscar-winner. any of the other 4 could have won in '98 and it would have been less painful. i just never could 'get' helen hunt, just as i could never/will ever 'get' 'mad about you.' she was ok in the waterdance, but, yep - that's it.
Are we sure this isn't Bridget Jones: Reanimator?
HELEN (VO): Who farted?
MATTHEW (VO): Oops.
Wherever she's been hiding, she can go back. STAT.
How does Colin Firth manage to make looking constipated so charming?
PS. The title of this movie is kind of generic, no? Seriously, 'Then she found me'? Why not just call it 'Unremarkable Sandwich'?
3 Random Thoughts
1. I really want Bette Midler to be my birth mother.
2. Helen Hunt would have the ultimate "swallowed a basketball" pregnancy.
3. Was that Salman Rushdie playing the obstetrician?
Inspector Gadget or the homely Hugh Grant stand-in? Hmm. Damned choices!
I think it is wonderful that the Oxygen Channel let Hunt make this original movie.
But Molly? FYI: I don't think Helen will result in Broderick going "stiff as a board". Not nearly uhhh...equine enough. Maybe if she wore an Ascot? Dickie? Van Dyke?
Helen Hunt seems to have skipped middle age entirely and jumped straight into Golden Cougs territory.
Really, though, it would be refreshing to have a story about adoption that isn't negative...
Sorry to see Colin Firth wasted in this movie.
I agree with spanktastic. I'll wait till this movie is on cable just to watch Colin.
Girlfriend is NOT aging well.
Colin seems to be.
Who's that other guy? Oh yeah, SJP's man. Yawn.

Holy Fuck! Kim Cattrall's writing for Defamer!
@BlackladyfromNetwork: In case you hadn't heard, Kim Cattrall and the character of Samantha Jones are (sshh!) not the same person.
@Molly Friedman: No one seems to have told Kim that, though.
@Nunaurbiz: UGH! she is NOT aging well! I was so taken by her "i am wasting away" look I paid no attention to the trailer.
And I demand she give her Oscar to Judi Dench who rightfully deserved it for Mrs.Brown.
She deserves the Oscar for playing straight all these years.
@Imnotatnbc: hmmm...
[johnny carson voice] i did not know that!
@Benny: he's a brit---only they or aussies can pull off that trick ;-)

@Nunaurbiz:
i think ms midler's the prettiest of all...i know this is reel, not real life, but does anyone else think it's odd that ms hunt's features look more like her adoptive mom rather than her biological one.
@sookie: I am days late to this... But as an Australian I could not resist the opportunity to say, hey thanks!
