Just in time for the opening of his new film Sex and Death 101, writer-director and comb-overed Avatar of Disillusionment Daniel Waters offers viewers a not-quite-rollicking video tour of his famous home. After Wednesday's mopey LA Times profile, we frankly expected a livelier plunge into the self-effacement and irony only the screenwriter of Hudson Hawk could muster. Alas, as now immortalized on YouTube, Waters' enclave bears the unique distinction of being the house where A) Orson Welles died and B) viral marketing goes to die. Also: When Woody Allen is done suing the spandex pants off American Apparel for unauthorized use of his likeness in ads, we suspect he'll be coming after Waters for the same. [YouTube]

Hmm... if Defamer finds a screenwriter it despises more than Diablo Cody, will the universe as we know it collapse upon itself? I'd better put my affairs in order just in case.
@nick_r: I hardly think that possible.
Does Gawker pay by the Diablo Cody post?
@Shumina: Oh sure it could. Akiva Goldsman for starts.
@Old No.7:
she's worth six julia alisons.
If I remember my DVD documentary correctly Waters wanted Stanley Kubrick to direct Heathers. Uh... delusional much?
Also, I nominate John Hodgman to star in "The Daniel Waters Story."
He kinda looks like a bloated David Wain. Back me up here, Graham.
I'm old school. I do not want to see writers nor hear them talk. They're writers for a reason.
@heidiho: Yeah i was waiting for Ken Marino to walk in and flex his biceps...
