Naturally, there are lots of important questions surrounding the presidential race. Whose policy on the war in Iraq will be the most effective? Will raising taxes help pull us out of this recession? Which candidate has the most viable solution to our nation's health care crisis? Who is Heidi Montag gonna vote for?
Well, thankfully that last question can be laid to rest. The Hills "celeb" has planted her flag in Camp McCain. As she explains in the latest issue of Us Weekly, "I'm a Republican and McCain has a lot of experience."
On the heels of that ringing endorsement, McCain told Time.com's Swampland blog, (and we swear we're not making this up) "I'm honored to have Heidi's support and I want to assure her that I never miss an episode of 'The Hills,' especially since the new season started."
And to top it all off, on today's edition of MSNBC's Morning Joe, McCain called Montag "a very talented actress."
Actress,eh? McCain is so old and out of touch, he doesn't even know The Hills is a reality show. Get with the times, Grandpa!

Did McCain smoke the hippie grass?
I never want to see him smile like that again. =|
Other actors stumping for McCain: Whitey McDreadlocks from Idol, the lesbian couple from Top Chef, and the chick who's missing her clitoris on Top Model.
Do people today have the memories of inch worms? McCain was the favorite candidate by far of the DAILY SHOW, before Jon Stewart, back in 1999. He invited their "investigative team" of Steven Carrell,A. Whitney Brown & Stephen Colbert to travel on his campaign bus, and showed himself to have a really good sense of humor. I remember one of them--I think Colbert--asking him straight-facedly if he'd call one of his Republican primary opponents a "master debater", and McCain damn near fell off the chair trying not to laugh.
@Cacafuego: Yes. No! I don't remember. Pass!
McCain's laughing like Spicoli. "Did you hear that? That's my skull!"
@BlackladyfromNetwork: Ooh! Ooh! Ooh!! Don't forget Patricia Heaton in that hot mess of a list!
Can he please take a stand about whether he thinks heidi and spencer should be together? I'm tired of candidates dodging this issue.
@Cacafuego: McCain does indeed have a great sense of humor, for a politician. However, the "memory check" needed may just be that Jon Stewart was on the Daily Show in 1999, and he brought Carell and Colbert with him. Stewart has a long history of witty repartee with the Senator. The "Straight Talk Express" segments were so great in 2000, I almost liked McCain for a few minutes.
