If you're looking to get wasted on national television, look no further than cocktail expert Martha Stewart. On last night's Conan, sweet-as-sugar Stewart instructed Conan on how to mix his own cocktails as a nod to O'Brien's Irish heritage. Though the very highbrow (and very femme) clover-adorned fruity drinks looked just scrumptious, Conan preferred chugging some gold old-fashioned Guinness instead. While it takes more than a few beers to eradicate all of that loveable trademark nervous energy that he brings to the Late Night set five nights a week, Martha tried her best to get Conan tipsy.
After drinking what Martha kindly notes is just foam, Conan begins triple-fisting all sorts of lushy drinks, starting with the beer, taking sips from some kind of rummy concoction, and ultimately drinking Jack straight from the handle. Our favorite moment? The wildly off-kilter Irish jig he breaks into after downing all the samples. Whether or not the drinks on set were merely water dosed in dye, we think Conan should start drinking on the job more often. Those high kicks take him from smartie beanstalk sexy to wild and crazy guy sexy in five seconds flat.

Martha Stewart had a Jameson spokeswoman on her own show. The Jameson woman made two really great drinks one with raspberry puree and another with peach puree; very yummy.
i heart that crazy bitch. recently she was doing some kind of crafty bullshit which required epoxy right after she made terrariums with jeffrey tambor where they used straws to separate the dirst and sand.
when her craft assistant started to use the epoxy, martha said, 'oh, that's very strong epoxy...first we had straws and now we have epoxy.'
They shoulda done car bombs together.
Breaking! Martha Stewart Really Just Like The Rest Of Us!
WHAT????
WHAT KIND OF IRISHMAN DRINKS JACK DANIELS ON ST PATRICK'S DAY? You can have all the fruity drinks you want, but there's only one kinda whiskey anyone should drink on that day, and it ain't Tennessee Mash.
@raincoaster:
In all fairness, the long tradition of whisky making in the American South dates back to the Scots-Irish (a/k/a "billies") who came to this country starting in the 1700s.
I drank Beamish with a Basil Hayden chaser, myself.
He's actually not drinking Jack in the clip. It looks like a bottle of Jameson's.
@whitiris: And Jameson's is what a good Irish Catholic should be drinking...definitely not Jack and most definitely not Bushmill's.
And for the record, a Black & Tan is comprised of Guinness and Harp (or Smithwick's), not Guinness and Bass. Only faux Irish bars use Bass for a Black & Tan.
I know me some whiskies... and that definitely ain't Jack... agree on it being Jameson's.
Is it wrong that I DVR Martha at all times on all stations?
I love 'gold old-fashioned Guinness'!
