The second installment of our newish feature, Scrambled Eggs, comes to us courtesy of an eagle-eyed friend of Defamer, People Paula. But before we get into the contents of the clip at hand, we'll give you a quick refresher on what exactly makes a Scrambled Egg. It's a term we invented to describe those glorious moments that happen in television shows when a bored (or possibly stoned) editor cuts an inexplicable and altogetherly out-of-context image into a scene, likely as an inside joke for themselves. Got it? Good.
Now that your memory has been rebooted, we are glad to present this Scrambled Egg from Wednesday night's episode of Big Brother. As the Chenbot attempts to engage the castmembers of the 412th season of the show in some casual conversation while they dangle from some sort of unusual swinging device (forgive us, we haven't followed the show since the days of Dr. Will and Mike Boogie), the show's sleep-deprived editors make what can only be described as an unusual choice for a cutaway shot.
The best part? This isn't the first time that this has happened in the show. Apparently, The Big Brother Technical Difficulties Guinea Pig™ made a previous appearance on the show sometime last week. Keep your eyes peeled, he just might pop out again soon!
Feeling left out? There's no reason to, silly! As always, we invite you to play along at home; if you spot a Scrambled Egg that you'd like us to feature, please send an email our way and we'll credit you here on the site. So, with that in mind, please enjoy our second installment.

I am a network reality editor and know a lot of the editors on Big Brother. First off, they are not bored. They are stoned. And secondly, that Guinea Pig has nothing to do with the editors. It was during the live show, which means a TD cut to it. Oh, and I love this segment. From now on, every show I work on I am going to try to sneak crap in.
That wasn't a bored editor -- that was the live show director cutting away when James swore, confirmed by chenbot instructing him not to do it again as they return to the live feed. He didn't listen to her, and they didn't catch it just a minute later when James can clearly be heard to say fuck in the background while another person is on mic. Wednesday night's show was rife with technical foul-ups and almost cringy to watch.
Every episode is "cringy".
Of course! Because cutting to an ECU of a guinea pig makes a lot more sense than dropping the audio out for a second. I'm sure it's only a matter of time before awards shows and sports telecasts start borrowing Captain Subtle, the guinea pig censor.
Maybe they're suggesting that this all occurs in the guinea pig's imagination.
Then again, if that were true, I might actually watch this show.
@Sweet Panda Love: I would totally watch that show, too.
Perhaps the hamster is named James too?
Blackheartededitor is happy for scrambled eggs and is trying to figure out how to get himself featured next.
Hmmm, how best to distract the EP's during the crucial moment in my next screening...
@People Paula: "Captain Subtle: The Guinea Pig Censor" I love it.
The guinea pig is the most interesting life form shown that whole hour.
Shows what I know: I thought maybe the giant-sized rodent was actually going to feast on whoever is the first to fall, and spend endless hours gnawing the bones while the other 'houseguests' look on in horror. Hey, it could happen.
