300 director Zack Snyder understands and appreciates the fanboy brain. Realizing that Watchmen, the sacred graphic-novel text he's been entrusted to adapt for Warner Bros. (and that Fox is suing to desist), is now "officially one year and counting" from its premiere, he's posted a series of high-quality photographs of the major characters in costume to tide them over until then. One glimpse at the attention to detail (check out those heavy-duty codpieces!) paid to the Comedian (Jeffrey Dean Morgan), Nite-Owl (Patrick Wilson), and Ozymandias (Matthew Goode) is sure to send the legions of fanboys who waited 22 years for this day running directly into their bathrooms, with strict orders to their moms that they aren't to be disturbed.

Didn't you also post that the Iron Man trailer caused the Fanboy Nation to crap their pants?
They should just invest in some Depends at this point.
Good thing I always roll with an extra pair of pants!
*GEEK ALERT*
If anybody announces a Loagn's Run remake, I'm just gonna freakin' explode.
*END GEEK ALERT*
Listen up all you doubters: I was a 13 year old comics nut, and the youngest employee at Jolly's Cards and Comics, in my shitty hometown way back in 1986. I *remember* the excitement, the sheer trembling nervousness at each new issue. There hadn't been a decent superhero movie at that point since Superman II six years earlier. The idea that this weird, wonderful, grown-up thing could ever exist on the big screen still blows my mind. This book is the Citizen Kane of graphic novels for a reason.
That said, Pleasedontsuckpleasedontsuckpleasedontsuck!!
@Tiger_Tanaka: too late, TigerTanaka.
Bryan Singer's already written the script for Joel Silver to produce. I've seen it.
@ArchieOogley: Then evacuate Culver City immediately!
@ArchieOogley: but is it cast with hairless boys from Bel Ami?
this looks great. let's just hope it doesn't kinda blow like 300. as long as we get Patrick Wilson ass shots, my ass will be in a theater seat.
meh. The right way to have done this was as a ten-part Sci-Fi Channel mini-series. But I do hope they have cut out all the pirate comic crap. Did I say that out loud?
Damn, I'm a geek.
@ArchieOogley: It will suck. I mean, look at it. The Comedian is the only one who looks right. The Owl is action-y instead of geeky/science-y and Ozymandias, as much as I love Matthew Goode, looks like an English public schoolboy-cum-prat.
Yes, the book is awesome, yes, the art direction in this film will rock, because the art directors love the book, and no, Snyder will not do it the right way.
@Pop Socket: Not sci-fi channel, but Chan4 or BBC miniseries directed by Terry Gilliam. Fucking Joel Silver.
Hrmmm.
